Privacy Policy
The Blank Studio ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Any questions, email us at hello@theblankstudiouk.co.uk.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect the information needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number, the items you order, and your order history. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment provider and are not collected or stored by us.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- process and deliver your order, or arrange collection;
- send you order confirmations and updates (for example when your order ships or is ready to collect);
- respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- keep records we're required to keep, such as for tax purposes.
Our legal basis for processing this information is that it's necessary to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations.
Basket reminders
If you start a checkout and enter your email address but don't finish, we may send you one reminder email with a link back to your basket. Every reminder includes an unsubscribe link, and we won't send you any other marketing.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run the shop, including:
- Stripe, to take payment securely;
- Royal Mail, to deliver your order (name, address, phone and email);
- our email provider, to send your order emails;
- our website and database hosting providers, who store the data securely on our behalf.
We never sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies & visitor stats
Our site uses minimal local storage to remember the contents of your basket. We count visits with a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool that doesn't identify you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as necessary to fulfil your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it's securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@theblankstudiouk.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
